Philanthropy & Community Impact
The Woman’s Club of Bethesda
Our Mission
We are committed to civic improvement through charitable work, educational programs, and hands-on volunteerism. Our members engage directly in projects that support women’s advancement, youth enrichment, and community wellbeing.

Key Areas of Focus
Women’s Health & Empowerment
By partnering with and sponsoring the organizations below, we support our mission of empowering women through health education, expanded economic opportunities, and leadership development.
Civic & Cultural Engagement
We promote local history, the arts, and civic engagement through community events and strategic partnerships. Our annual Youth Art Show, held in collaboration with local high schools, celebrates emerging talent across Montgomery County. Each spring and holiday season, we host artisan boutiques featuring local makers and small businesses—100% of proceeds are donated to local charities
Human Services & Relief
We respond to urgent community needs through hands-on volunteerism, donation drives, and local partnerships focused on dignity, care, and basic essentials.
Ongoing initiatives include:
Seasonal drives for food, winter coats, and hygiene kits for area shelters
Emergency fundraisers for families in crisis or disaster relief
Partnering with organizations that serve children, families, and medically vulnerable individuals
Recent partners and causes:
Comfort Cases – Providing dignity and supplies to children in foster care
The Children’s Inn at NIH – Supporting families of seriously ill children
The John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (RICA)-MCPS school that provides therapeutic education and support for students with special needs.
Resilience Across Borders- deliver mental health and resilience-building support for underserved youth in Montgomery County.
Supporting Critical Causes in Our Community
From Montgomery County to the greater Washington, DC region, we stand behind organizations that provide vital services and advocate for those most in need. Whether it’s raising awareness about human trafficking, supporting local hospice care and veteran programs, or funding emergency relief efforts, our members respond where help matters most. Through hands-on volunteer work, donations, and advocacy, we partner with nonprofits making a lasting impact across our local neighborhoods and communities.
